Estila Ashong is a chef, stylist, artist, YouTuber and an all round creative based in Accra, Ghana. She grew up in a household where helping her mother in the kitchen was a chore she simply couldn’t avoid. As a result she learned skills and developed an unquenchable passion for cooking leading her to become a self-taught chef and the CEO of Estila’s Kitchen although her educational background is in fashion and arts. She believes that no experience is wasted and that her background in fashion and arts helps elevate her cooking and presentation in the form of garnishing, content creation and general display aesthetics. she likes her food to entice the eyes as much as it does the palates. With her new project Estila’s Art on the way, she explains that creating brings her peace and offers her a place to meditate on the beauty of this world while exciting every one of her senses. Her goal is to convey that same peace and excitement to the recipient, offering a moment of pause and a feeling of belonging.
