Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), NgembaLKii is a visual artist and a self-taught DJ based in Montreal that fluidly handles sound, installation art, performance, and sculpture. She manufactures reflections on the body, identity, and self-representation, all at once. While NgembaLKii has always had an ear for Congolese traditional African sounds, Jazz, Hip Hop and R&B she currently focuses on underground afro-diasporic electronic, techno and house music which pays tribute to her African root of the past and present.
