About the artist

Qumasiquamé

The sets of Qumasiquamé show-off a love for breaks, uk club sounds, global bass music as well as an affinity for multiple soundscapes from the motherland. He first plunged into the world of club music after hearing his friend’s Jungle cassette tapes somewhere in London - Kilburn back in 1994. Fast forward a decade later he was uploading his german Grime music on Myspace out of his hometown Hamburg. This resulted in taking part in a grime competition hosted by Grimetime Berlin in 2006. In 2010 Qumasiquamé moved to the capital of Germany and was together with Sarah Farina, Chix and Walter Vinyl one of the founding members of Through My Speakers. Which naturally evolved into a thriving record label, after mainly organizing eclectic music events and progressive club nights in the beginnings. Qumasiquamé had the pleasure to perform at various clubs across Germany, Europe, Ghana and South Africa, while playing warm-up’s for artist like Skepta, Newham Generals, Sho Madjozi, as well as Flava D, Champion and A$AP Snacks to name a few.
