About the artist
Retro Cassetta (Badr Haoutar) is a solo project by audiovisual and circus artist Badreddine Haoutar, Badr Snoopy, that mixes modern and classic soul music from Morocco and the rest of North Africa. Retro Cassetta employs processed guitar loops and handmade loops from cassette tapes found in Morocco’s free markets to create live ambient electronic music. The project aims to take you back to the 80’s & 90’s arcade days when radio waves transmitted heartfelt music dedications to your loved ones.
