zey’s creativity is a tool of liberation - their own and of others. They aim to point to the deeper musical connections between diverse Black contemporary cultural landscapes while honoring their distinctive musical traditions. Mapping links between spaces, they’re mixing genres like footwork, jersey club, gqom, jungle, baile funk, bouyon, batida or kuduro. Since 2017, they have been an active force in organising QTI*BIPOC safer space parties in Czech Republic and Austria, and are currently a fluid member of a Vienna-based Spice Mixers collective. They have also performed at several acclaimed music festivals, including Czech’s Creepy Teepee and Austria’s HYPERREALITY. Among other platforms, their mixes have aired on Prague’s Radio Punctum, LYL Radio Paris and Dhaka’s Ghurni listening sessions. With their selections, they want to make people feel and bounce.
