Afrohunting is based in Buenos Aires, but we all know how important are our Caribbean roots. It’s a great joy to have our first Dominican guest finally! I met Maldita Vaina in a “colmado” about five years ago, and it’s truly an honor to have this fabulous artist here in our show! Finding “paisanos” with similar ideals and fantastic energy is always a great joy! I must say that this name is the coolest name ever! We all Dominicans know pretty much of it. With Guest: Maldita Vaina is a Dominican-Sudanese artist, researcher, DJ, and facilitator who works with sound, movement, and the senses to activate memories. Maldita Vaina likes to combine and recombine rhythms and genres to produce soundscapes for transformation. Their sets are high energy and incorporate rhythm from the Caribbean and Black Diaspora.
