In the debut episode of Badu Radio, Canadian-Ghanaian designer Spencer Badu—architect of bauhaus minimalism—and Seoul’s sonic artist XING XING forge a collision of precision and pandemonium.
Together, their collaboration becomes a living dialectic:
A distorted chant from Badu’s Ghanaian roots collides with XING XING’s searing Cakeshop anthem. Industrial textures dissolve into ASMR whispers, like a garment fraying at the seams. By the final track, the line between restraint and rupture blurs entirely.
With Guest: XING XING - Korean DJ and model currently maintaining her residency with korean underground club, Cakeshop, and founder of Hardpure, Seoul based party collective; while working along with Supreme. She paves her own take on dance music, influenced by her multi- cultural background; Not limited by genres, her style behind the decks is focused on creating a highly energetic dance floor that allows for emotionality, for softer moments but also attention-demanding breaks and shifts; an equally fun and challenging combination that gained her traction very early on in her career and established her as an artist to watch in experimental club music.
