Capsule Convos invites 999adj, Babymmune and GPSTony

With Miss Yvvana & Moii Chan, 999ADJ

Capsule Convos is a talk show that aims to cover the zeitgeist of arts in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal: with a focus on second generation immigrants. These cities are shaped by the presence of the diaspora through migration, and the art scenes have a strong overlap with those of Ghana, Nigeria, and other parts of West Africa.

Kicking off with a B2B from Lagos born, Toronto based DJs Babymmune & Moii Chan, this episode is jam packed with afrobeat, gqom, and house sounds.

Followed by chit chat between Miss Yvvana and our guest, Oroko’s very own; 999adj. We sit down to talk about being Queer, Black, & Femme in the music industry. Moreover, we discuss the sounds of metropolitan cities like Detroit and Toronto. Watch the gqom documentary on youtube!

Last but not least, Michigan’s GPS Tony makes a special appearance and surprise feature, blending the nostalgic hiplife rhythm of Basa Basa with a knack for footwork, electronic, and house sounds.
