Future Memories invites YEMI LIJADU

With KEM KEM

In this episode of Future Memories it’s a family affair, Kem Kem sits down with Yemi Lijadu. Yemi is a UK DJ, producer, Garage enthusiast and Kem Kem’s first cousin. Raised in Manchester and now based in Rotterdam, Yemi’s life moves between working as a mechanical engineer at sea and making music that speaks to the dancefloor.

They talk about the sounds that shaped him, the pull of Garage and soulful beats, and how music becomes a way to hold on to memory and create new ones. Yemi shares his journey of balancing two worlds, engineering and music, while staying true to the joy that music brings.

With Guest: Yemi Lijadu aka Yemi is a self described Garage enthusiast, UK DJ and producer. Currently based in Rotterdam, he was raised in Manchester. A mechanical engineer, when he’s not behind the decks you can find him in the middle of the sea working on subsea tool design and manufacture.
