Ilógico invites Quixosis and Boundary

With dj +1 | Gregorio

This special radio edition was created to accompany and promote the first Colombian tour of +ábien, featuring two of its affiliated artists.

The program showcases the hypnotic, analog soundscapes of Quixosis — the electronic alias of Ecuadorian artist and producer Daniel Lofredo Rota, and Boundary, the dominican leftfield techno prodigy. They both play mini mixes especially made for this broadcast, presenting a glimpse into the diverse sonic identities that define our label’s vision — a commitment to experimental sound, deep listening, and the creative pulse of contemporary Latin America.

With Guests: Quixosis is the mental condition of the Quixote, and the electronic alias of Ecuadorian artist and producer Daniel Lofredo Rota, who has created an aural universe built from analog machinery, magnetic delays, and boxes upon boxes of matrix tapes from a record label lost in the 1960s. In a process deeply tied to nostalgia and to narratives buried by time, Quixosis transmutes his material into a mesmerizing and dynamic space that invokes critical futurism and pure psychedelia, within vast soundscapes punctuated by acid polyrhythms and frenzied percussion.

Boundary is the alias of Josué Suero (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 2000), a multidisciplinary and experimental electronic music artist who navigates between various styles such as techno, ambient, IDM, breakbeat, downtempo, and more. The glue that unifies his sound is an exploration of dusty, textured, and vaporous aesthetics, invoking the concept of 'halcyon': memories of a past where everything was happier. Named on Pitchfork “The Dominican Republic’s Leftfield Techno Prodigy” Boundary continues to push the envelope in the electronic music scene. His sophomore album; Oxido En El Espejo, released by the UK and German imprint Exotic Robotics, is regarded as having a unique and fresh take on what experimental club music can be.
