Long Distance is a monthly show inspired by the travels and nomadic lifestyle of host Dre Ngozi. Inspired by efforts of retaining long-distance relationships and connecting her diasporic roots and inspirations, this show will dial into a range of genres and traverse global borders.

With Special Guests: As a multi-talented artist based in Amsterdam, he always been drawn to the city's vibrant night scene. Travis Allen started out as a stylist, but eventually, his interests shifted towards DJing and event organization. With the help of a good friend (Lema), he has learned the ropes and even started their own music label (From Paradise). The label saw great success, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to pivot and rebrand. Seizing the opportunity to learn new skills, Travis picked up a camera and taught him photography and videography. Travis worked with a variety of artists and brands, including IAMDDB, Yung Dada, Kyara Shereen, and This is Lema. Now, with a wealth of experience under his belt, he’s ready to take on even more ambitious projects. He’s excited to start releasing his own music and handling all aspects of the creative process, from the music itself to the art direction.

Elvis Vierbergen, known by his artist name This is Lema, is an accomplished international DJ and Producer hailing from Congo. Born in 1993, Elvis was adopted by a Dutch family at the young age of 2 and has since resided in The Netherlands. His artist name, ThisIsLema, holds a significant meaning for Elvis, as it is derived from his birth name, Lema. Growing up, Elvis' sister kept calling him 'Lema' after their adoption, which led his adoptive parents to assume that 'Lema' was his given name. Later, they discovered that 'Lema' was actually their father's name and that Elvis' birth name was, in fact, Elvis. In tribute to his heritage, Elvis chose to honor his roots by adopting 'ThisIsLema' as his artist name. With his unique sound and personal story.
