NOIR NOISE reflects the dominance and proliferation of black and brown music around the globe. Each episode helmed by a different sound artist delves into diverse and experimental soundscapes, rhythms, beats, snippets of conversations/ interviews and archival sound footage that create artistic expressions deeply rooted in diasporic culture. From Detroit and Atlanta, to New Orleans and Nigeria, New York and London, Port-Au-Prince and Sweden, Kingston and Paris, South Africa and the Dominican Republic, to Dakar and Brazil, and beyond, NOIR NOISE transports listeners to sonic portals of Black and Brown ART, SOUND & JOY. With Guest: Olukemi Lijadu is a visual and sound artist who works with the moving image, philosophy and music. Lijadu DJs under the moniker Kem Kem. Kem Kem has performed in a number of prestigious art institutions, including Tate Britain, Serpentine (London), Bozar Museum (Brussels) and La Gaite Lyrique (Paris) and the National Museum (Lagos). Lijadu is currently based between London, UK and Lagos, Nigeria. She has toured as an opening DJ for Tems and opened for artists such as Skepta, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Rema. She has performed in over 3 continents - Africa, Europe and the United States.  Kem Kem plays an eclectic mix of afrobeats, amapiano, hip hop, dancehall, baile funk dance and electronic music, but, most crucially, what touches her heart. She also comes from a deeply musical lineage, her aunts are the legendary Lijadu Sisters and she is the niece of afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
