This special Juneteenth edition of 'Off The Leash' is a celebration of Black house music in all its rhythm and radiance. We’re honored to feature a guest mix from Ohlei, who delivered a deeply moving blend of afrohouse, amapiano, and dance music that had us levitating. Every selection was intentional—the tempo, the blends, the energy — crafted with care and soul.
In honoring the roots of house music and the global sonic traditions that inspire us, this set serves as both a celebration and a reminder: the dance floor is and has always been a space of freedom.
With Guests: Ohlei is a DJ and sonic curator navigating the many lanes of house music, with a sound deeply rooted in Black and Afro-diasporic rhythm. She flows between House, Afrohouse, Amapiano, Gqom, Deep House, Afrotech, and global club rhythms, shaping a style that’s eclectic and ever evolving. Her sound lives at the intersection of Afro-diasporic pulse and electronic rhythm, a fusion that’s both grounded and expansive.
Known for weaving genres together in ways that feel seamless, Ohlei crafts her sets with intention, built to move you not just to dance, but to feel and connect. While house music is a key part of her foundation, her sets and style go far beyond that. She’s more about storytelling and energy than sticking to any one box. Ohlei’s not just spinning tracks — she’s building worlds, sharing moments, and putting people onto what they didn’t know they needed.
