With Guest: Pronounced "see-bar-tattoo" - sibaTHATHU is a DJ Collective based in Johannesburg, South Africa. sibaTHATHU specializes in Gqom, Techno, and Tribal music, and was officially formed in January 2023. The sibaTHATHU sound is a fusion of Techno, Bass, Afrotech, and an early 2000s South African sound called Tribal, with a bit of electronic infusion also known locally as “isqinsi”.

The collective has graced stages in several venues around Johannesburg, such as ANDclub, The Compound, Kitcheners, and Great Dane, to name a few. With the help of Henny & Jager, sibaTHATHU plans to expand its music to the rest of South Africa and international dance floors. We believe this is an international sound and everyone needs to hear it. In closing, sibaTHATHU is a talented and innovative Collective that offers a unique South African sound that stands out in the world of Dance Music and it is our goal to expand this beautiful sound called GQOM.
