Special Guests: Victoria Cooke is the Director of Gallery 1957 in Accra, Ghana - a gallery presenting leading artists working across West Africa and the diaspora, since joining the gallery in 2016 it has expanded into three galleries in Accra and one outpost in London, UK. Victoria launched the Yaa Asantewaa Prize in 2021, the first-ever dedicated art prize for women on the continent. Victoria has previously lived, worked and researched extensively across West Africa including Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Sierra Leone. Before joining Gallery 1957, Victoria worked at David Zwirner, London. In September 2020 Victoria was selected as one of Apollo’s 40 under 40 within the African Arts. In 2021 she launched Aya Academy and Aya Editions with Carina Kanbi. AYA Academy is a Ghanaian NGO with a primary objective of addressing the lack of women in the creative industries in Ghana and West Africa through education, empowerment and economic development. AYA Editions is a global platform for contemporary female artists from West Africa and the diaspora. _____________________________ G.rizo (nee Ihu Anyanwu, born in 1973) is a singer, producer, DJ and performer based in Abuja and Lagos. Specializing in pop and funk-based dance music, G.rizo has a versatile range with over a decade of musical excursions in electro, dub, hip-hop, disco, techno and house. With an eclectic palate, and an asymmetric interpretation of dance music.

She is also a doctoral fellow at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and a postgraduate student at Central Saint Martins, London. All her creative ventures focus on supporting creative career paths, empowering women and building liveable, equitable cities for all.
