Santuri Signal showcases sounds and artists from the East African region and beyond!

Guest: Ng’at Maler is a multidisciplinary artist from Nairobi, Kenya, active in several arts and music circles. As a solo artist he creates atmospheric soundscapes and bewitching rhythmic excursions incorporating field recordings from his travels around the country. He’s also a founding member of Air Conditioner, an experimental duo that first rose to prominence live scoring the underground Angolan movie of the same name - the first time such a show had been attempted in East Africa. As one-third of the production and DJ crew L3GS, he’s responsible for a slew of dancefloor-ready heaters spanning the electronic music spectrum. His musical influences and inspirations range from artists such as Burial and Four Tet to Ayub Ogada.
