The |D/A\W/A\ Show invites RONEGGA

With |D/A\W/A\ collective

For this sixth episode, we have invited Ronegga who has concocted a Bashment mix inspired by his recently released mixtape "Death before dishonor" - starring Dj Bus High, featuring notable collaborations with Maylan Manaza, Tiwony, Tuco and Lord Kossity.

With Guest: Born in the late 1980s, Ronegga was immersed in reggae, dancehall, and various African music genres, influenced by his father and visits to the Blue Moon record store. In the 2000s, inspired by artists like Sky Juice from Metro Media, he decided to become a selector. Around 2002, he also started writing his own lyrics. Ronegga performed for the first time in 2003, opening for Daddy Mory.

After years of improvement, he won a competition at the Elysée Montmartre and went on to perform alongside Lyricson and Triller Jenna. Joining the Ragga Dub Forcecrew, he participated in various live band and sound system events. Collaborating with Mathieu Ruben, he also appeared on rap mixtapes.

Touring with Sadek, Ronegga opened for Kery James at the Bataclan and contributed to Sadek’s gold and platinum-certified album. In 2015, he created atmospheres for Tenny’s album and signed a publishing deal with Grown Kid. He also composed a track for Samuel Eto’o’s documentary series, composed by James BKS, and released a single featured on the soundtrack of “Le Gang des Antillais”, also composed by James BKS.
