To commemorate his debut EP release, tripes presents a club-oriented mix showcasing all the various influences of the project. Over the past few years, tripes has developed a homegrown vision of electronic music, fusing elements of Mauritian Sega and Reunionese Maloya with boundary-pushing production, while drawing from polyrhythmic styles such as South Indian Thappu, Angolan Kuduro, and Moroccan Gnawa. Taking an adventurous approach, tripes reshapes these influences through inventive textures, off-kilter effects, and shifting meters woven with intricate rhythmic layers. Yet, "sega tron" remains firmly built for the dancefloor - sleek and topped with a dash of aggressiveness.
