About the artist
Julianne Chua is a writer, artist and researcher interested in transversal affinities across Afro-Asian diasporic food, literature and visual culture. Her works have been published in Afterglobe, Kepulauan, Inheritance, and The Posthumanist, presented at Kunstraum Potsdamer Straße and Universität der Künste, and performed at NYU Abu Dhabi, Haus der Kulturen der Welt and CTM Festival. Occasionally on air—Refuge Worldwide and SAVVYZAAR.
Anna Frehiwot Maconi focuses on notions of diaspora identities, the influence of nation-states, and mobility on memory and historical narratives through her works, which include writing, painting, and audio collages. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Asian and African Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
