About the artist
Lerato Tsotetsi is an Amsterdam-based multifaceted artist from Johannesburg who brings a unique cultural perspective, distinctive South African flair mixed with an infectious energy and eye-catching style expression to the turntables.
With her musical perspective greatly influenced by the rich tapestry of South African sounds, Lerato predominantly crafts genre-bending fusions of classic and contemporary Afrohouse, Amapiano and Afrotech, weaving in elements that span across genres, cultural influences and musical eras.
True to her name, Lerato - which means “love” in Sesotho - produces and hosts ‘Ka Lerato la Love’ (meaning with love), a bi-monthly show that explores love through the sounds of Afrohouse, Amapiano & Afrotech.
Lerato's performances have graced an impressive array of events and venues including Amsterdam, Rotterdam & Berlin, demonstrating her versatility and ability to captivate audiences in any setting. These range from the prestigious Amsterdam Dance Event, Tribes and Descendants at renowned nightclubs Paradiso & Parallel, festivals like Amsterdam Open Air & Audio Obscura, to a variety of more intimate boutique event settings including Garden by Day, NBW Pride Brunch, Felt Atelier X Ace & Tate Launch, Omek Summit and more.
