Influenced by the culture of street dances, church and family dances, Lys grew up in an environment where the radio, musical instruments, records and dance steps signaled her professional paths. Her specialty is Jamaican music, such as Reggae and Dancehall that she collects on vinyl records. But her presentation also brings her universal research, with great emphasis on Brazilian music and grooves from all eras. In her performances, Lys highlights the deejay tradition as an MC and soundsystem culture through her vocals and live mix.
