About the artist
Niara Sterling is a multifaceted artist who is known as a DJ and Music Supervisor. Originally from Springfield, Virginia, she began her music career in 2016. quickly realizing that music is one of her passions, Niara relocated her career from Washington D.C. to Brooklyn, New York. In the span of this budding career, Niara has become an integral leader in the renaissance of community, style, and expression. Niara’s sound is in continual evolution. Her musical style embodies rhythm, blues, soul, jazz, funk, gospel, hip-hop, house, and afro. While maintaining a decorated DJ portfolio, Niara has worked with Ari Lennox, Easy Mo Bee, Masego, and Moses Sumney. She has toured internationally with Talib Kweli as his DJ as well as participating in international EDM festivals. Niara has crafted a sound of her own. Currently, Niara hosts two shows; Middle Ground on Twitch every Thursday evening, and a radio show called Soul Ties on Universal Rhythms.
