Originally from Virginia, Niara's roots heavily influenced her developing sound with an array of grassroots drums and thick basslines. One can always expect her rhythmic selections to be submerged, vast, sultry, and at times, ancestral. Niara has been honored to work with the likes of Ari Lennox, Oprah, Masego, Talib Kweli, Moses Sumney, and many more. Playing at international festivals and working with brands like Burberry and BACARDÍ are just a few of the long-standing relationships Niara has maintained from her integrity with sound. Niara enjoys captivating her dancers/listeners with new music, twining the foundation of her sound with futuristic nuances. Outside the booth, Niara has been featured in Essence as a future "household name". She's been featured in Vogue, had her first billboard with Milk Make-up, and has recently shot her first commercial with BACARDÍ.
