Today, we are traveling to London to meet our dear friend Silkie, and we get deep into the London night scene with this great figure from the world of dubstep in the city. With his roots in Jamaica, Silkie brings a different episode than what we have been sharing here, but always with that ancestral brotherhood that unites us with cooltural exchange.

With Guest: Silkie, also known as Solomon Rose, is a London-based DJ and Producer who has been a pivotal figure in the global dubstep scene. He started his career in the early 2000s, initially dabbling in UK garage and grime. Over the years, he has carved a unique space for himself with his jazz-influenced dubstep style. He has released four albums and various EPs on labels like Mala’s “Deep Medi Muzik”, Skream’s “Disfigured Dubz”, and Soul Jazz. In 2023, Silkie founded Antisocial Audio, an online platform dedicated to music production education with a focus on bass music.
