The name LEUZ ZARAK has become synonymous with deep afro house music in Dakar. But who is this man in the hat who keeps Senegal dancing?

Hailing from the suburbs of Dakar, LEUZ ZARAK is one of the most talented figures on the West African electronic music scene. A self-taught artist, he began his career in hip-hop, collaborating with renowned Senegalese rappers (Matador, Fata, Akhloubrick, Fou Malade and more) and performing in the capital's main nightclubs. His breakthrough came in 2013, touring African countries (Gambia, Benin, Cameroon, Mauritania, etc.) and beyond (France, US and Netherlands).

With these travels, LEUZ ZARAK’s musical identity evolved and he gradually immerse himself into electronic music, keeping constantly rooted in his African identity. Since 2014, he’s been a champion of afro-house in Senegal and on the Continent, joining the ElectrAfrique collective and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Boddhi Satva, Raoul K, Rancido, Nickodemus, Cortega and many more.
