[kevinindafield] keeps it strictly Old Skool for the first half of the show and selects some of their favourite jungle tracks from '93 and '94 before handing over the reins to their first guest, N.E.GIRL, who brought a mixed bag of dark, soulful and bass-driven jungle and footwork to conclude the second episode of GLOSS Radio.

With Guest: N.E.GIRL (Esther Wanyama) is a Nairobi-born, London-raised and Copenhagen-based DJ, club promoter and festival curator. She is heavily inspired by soundsystem culture and alternative club styles from the UK and global underground, building a reputation for her multi-genre style. She aims to showcase bass-driven and experimental styles either within her sets or through the events she programs, exploring the boundaries of multi-genre mixing. She has played sets for Keep Hush and Rupture and describes her sound as “worldy, techno-infused and sub-bass driven”. It’s dark but soulful, peppered with “fun, syncopated rhythms blending nicely into jungle”. For her events, Afro Swing and Jasho Club, she’s flown over Chimpo, Mantra, Champion and Manuka Honey to represent diaspora club music in safe, often LGBTQIA+ spaces. N.E.GIRL also edited and produced the 25 Years of AKO Beatz documentary in 2021, featuring Stretch, Goldie, 4hero and more.
