With Guest: Oumoukala - In my sets, I always seek to create a sonic journey where percussion is the engine that drives everything and the sensory thread that guides each step. I move between genres such as gqom and kuduro, mixing them with more melodic and organic instruments such as the ngoni, the flute and other classical textures.
My passion for percussion makes my sessions vibrate with diasporic rhythms and a clear intention: to break the homogeneous idea of black-rooted music. I also seek to reflect the nomadic pulse of Mauritania, a place where the music industry is emerging and where I naturally connect with the frenetic rhythms that run through the continent.
