Today’s episode of Cat Mama World is dedicated to Black Girls Glow. In 2017, I had the pleasure of being part of the first iteration of this amazing residency founded to create intentional collaboration amongst women artists living here in Ghana. I chose to share some of the amazing work (music) that has come out of each of the residencies, also celebrate some of the artists themselves and give you all a brief introduction to BGG. Since my time at the residency I have gone on to become a staff member and one of the team leads. You’ll hear me do much less talking this episode and rather you’ll hear past sound bites from BGG staff and also some of the music that has been produced over the years.

Soulful and dreamy, Ria Boss, also known as the “Cat Mama” is a neo soul goddess casting spells to soothe, empower, love and give thanks. She is here to remind you of your own power, to remind you to cherish your present, to help you align yourself such that you manifest all you desire. All by using the gifts bestowed on her by the divine to cast soulful spells and reflect the times. With 12 EPs under her belt, she is now on the quest to release her debut album in early 2022.
