Tmnit aims to explore all kinds of sounds in DIMTSI [ድምጺ], Tigrinya for sound; from the continent and its diaspora, with a focus on so-called experimental sounds as well as old forgotten or rather unknown genres.

Tmnit Ghide is Eritrean by way of southern Germany. She is co-founder of the Berlin-based label ALVOZAY and works as a DJ, music curator, and consultant herself. ALVOZAY operates between Berlin and Vienna and is above all a platform that enables BIPOC artists to network better and at the same time pursues the goal of expanding the infrastructures for precisely this target group. As an active member of the Munich-based collective 'Afrodiaspora2.0', she is especially dedicated to the challenge of bridging the gap between life in the diaspora and life on the African continent.
