With DOGHOUSE

Straight off the debut of his latest album "Oh The Places Lord Will Go," we sat down for a chat with up and coming rapper THEFOODLORD from Stone Mountain, Georgia. A fitting title for the MC's latest body of work, which turns out to be a cross-continental collaboration produced entirely by Finnish producer duo, Cut Beetlez. In this exclusive interview, THEFOODLORD talks about transforming inspiration from his favorite movies, relationships, grief, life, etc., into a carefully curated cinematic universe of hard-hitting loops and storytelling. While paying homage to Hip-Hop greats like Kanye West and MF DOOM, THEFOODLORD discusses the precise level of detail and intention that sets him apart from any other rapper in the underground scene; and with this new album, one can hear how he is carving out his own path one verse at a time.

"Art and the value it provides, as well as the message it conveys, evolves as the world does." THEFOODLORD, an MC turned messenger from Stone Mountain, GA, via Dallas, TX, makes it okay to be yourself. Serving a cold-like dish of craftsmanship in response to the trials that face the average man or woman who walks like a king or queen but feels like a god. THEFOODLORD debuted his first dish in 2015 with "WHITE LEATHE" ft NicX, and soon after, he had to take his talents to Dallas, TX, where he launched his imprint with a live set. Under his identity LORDFALKO, THEFOODLORD will release six albums in three months in 2020, as part of a creative partnership with friend and collaborator BLAKFALKO.
