"Kumata" has multiple meanings in some East-African countries, but in Burundi culture it means “to glue, to bring together”. In pre-colonial Burundi and Rwanda it also meant to join the physical and the mystical/ancestral world together. In this spirit of bringing together different realms, here is Kumata episode 1.

ARAKAZA is a dj and multi-disciplinary artist born in Burundi and based in Amsterdam. His sets bridge together his east-African roots with industrial sounds and influences from the ballroom scene which he's a part of .
