Tune in to the Library's first dive into streetwear with designers Mims and Renzo! We dissect developing personal style, the elements of a streetwear look and streetwear as an avenue for storytelling.
With Guests: RENZO is a Ghanaian Nigerian streetwear designer, stylist and upcycler. Dealing in mostly denim, RENZO creates dynamic distressed clothing. His brand KORRUPT launches later this year. RENZO first gained an interest in clothing and fashion through his father's clothing import business. When he couldn't find the kind of swag he gravitated towards he begun tailoring and editing his own clothes to imitate some of his favorite streetwear brands.
Mims is a designer, creative director and owner of COMMON Studios. A line of collegiate styled streetwear tees, beanies, pins and sweatshirts. A true 2000s kid of the internet age, Mims draws inspiration from a revolving reel of iconic clothing eras.
