This playlist is a journey into sound, a sonic experiment inspired by a road trip to the Afram plains across the Volta Lake, through various townships along the Accra-Kumasi N6 highway, and Kwahu mountains. It is a soundscape that seeks to recreate the different emotions of driving through the various ambiances of each location: the peace and calm of the Volta Lake and expanses of roads which cuts through scattered settlements, the high energy and buzz of the urban and semi-urban settlements and the freshness of seeing new places. This show captures all of these in a special curation culled from Spotify’s Afro Indie playlist, mixed with some mainstream jams, all blended into an eclectic 60mins unique to the style of our in-house selector.
