At Afrohunting Radio, we’re thrilled to feature Roxie, a Gemini force of creativity from Nova Lima, Brazil. DJ, singer, and creative director of the Bronka collective, her sets celebrate Black urban sounds and transform every dance floor into a space of movement and connection.
With Guest: Born under the Gemini sun, Roxie embodies multiplicity, DJ, singer, graphic designer, filmmaker, and creative director. Her artistic path began in acting and dance, later finding rhythm in DJing and blossoming into singing and songwriting.
Raised in Nova Lima, she studied music theory, viola, and flute before stepping into cultural production, where she has organized events and shaped communities since 2017. Her sets, rooted in Black urban sounds, are crafted to move both body and spirit.
As resident DJ and creative director of Bronka, a collective centering women and LGBTQIA+ artists. Roxie has carved a vital space in Brazil’s scene, performing at Function FM, Veneno Radio, Festival Sarará, Virada Cultural, and the Festival de Arte Negra in Belo Horizonte. With her striking stage presence and debut single Just Chill, Roxie channels the power of multi-arts into a vision that resonates across borders.
