On this episode of the MnR Show, our guest Sarah Ozo-Irabor, Director of the AKO CAine Prize for African Writing takes us on a journey into her childhood in Nigeria, her adult life in the UK and the path that led her to becoming the Director of the AKO Caine PRize for African Writing. Through a curated playlist of 10 highlife songs, the conversation touches on literature, prizes, folktale, mythology and TV shows.

Special Guest: Sarah Ozo-Irabor is the Director of the AKO Caine Prize for African writing. She is also a literary critic and the founder of the Instagram page and podcast Books & Rhymes where she explores the intersection of literature and music. She is also the founder of Lit Avengers, an intertextual monthly literary salon. Elizabeth Johnson is a writer and researcher of Ghanaian-Nigerian heritage. Her short stories, poetry and creative nonfiction have appeared in a few online and print publications. She works with The Writers Project of Ghana as a project and media coordinator and manager of their annual literary festival, Pa Gya! A Literary Festival in Accra. She also works with The Library of Africa and the African Diaspora( LOATAD) and produced the maiden edition of their festival, Womanfest Ghana.
