The TRC Show is back with episode #9 and this month we're bringing you an exclusive interview of multi-disciplinary artist Rachel O Williams, just before the opening of her first solo exhibition, Rifle On The Wall. The exhibition is Rachel’s debut solo show through Guts Project at Guts gallery and is curated by Pacheanne Anderson. Listen as she takes us through the various stages of her life and how music contributed not only to her art but her makeup as an intellectual. Find out more about Rifle on the Wall here:

Special Guest: Rachel O. Williams is a multi-disciplinary visual artist whose work explores the connection between her past and present, interrogating her physical surroundings within the context of social and political (dis)integration from her personal perspective and in relation to cultural construction. Rifle On The Wall is Rachel’s debut solo show through Guts Project at Guts gallery and is curated by Pacheanne Anderson. Opening on the 11 November - 8 December 2022 this exhibition brings together themes of family, relationship trauma, iimmigration, social integration or disintegration, [dis]-location, love and loss simultaneously. These works are melancholic, witty but complex in their form. With collage and reinterpretation of strong visual imagery, the photographic works and collages powerfully explore intricate, but common, modes of existence in a way that only a 1st generation Black Brit of Nigerian heritage could.
