Our show for this month is a celebration of the life and influence of Rab Bakari. Rab was a pioneering figure for the Ghanaian 'Hiplife' sound, a fusion of the Hip Hop sound with Highlife. Having grown up, lived in, and experienced the Hip Hop culture in the 'Mecca' of New York, Rab's production techniques, DJing, and Management would set the foundations for the iconic sound which would shape the urban landscape of Ghana and eventually make this country the influential creative hub it has become. Rab passed on in March of 2022, and this show is a celebration of the music he produced, was influenced by, and the sound his influence created. RIP Rab!
