The TRC Show

With Badgalbob

We are back with episode 10 of The TRC Show and I am thrilled to present this month's guest, Alyssa Yeboah-Kodie, Ghanaian-American fashion designer and parent to the brand KODIE! Listen as she takes us through her journey through travel and— wait for it...sports(?) to realise her calling as a fashion designer as well as her decades long search for what she describes as her sound and the perfect sonic experience. I had so much fun recording this episode, it is filled with laughter and jokes and pure positive energy.

Enjoy the ride!

Alyssa Yeboah-Kodie is an Accra-based designer via New York. Creator of KODIE, Alyssa uses fashion and visuals as their main medium, excavating themes and pushing the boundaries of self expression. Born out of the familial reconnection of Alyssa Yeboah-Kodie and Maame Pokua, the pair combined their design and production experience to create a gender-inclusive fashion label based in Accra. Kodie actualized in response to a time filled with celebration, self-liberation, and yet, social injustice. Kodie is for the makers of culture pushing the boundaries of expression and guided by freedom. With a design process based on intuition and emotional connection, Kodie seeks to resonate with a clientele whose relationship with their wardrobe is personal and expressive. Through intentional design and meticulous craftsmanship we aim to provide the tools for unbridled self-expression.
